Because user authentication on the Internet is difficult, the City's Website cannot and does not confirm that any user is who they claim to be. Because the City's Website does not and cannot be involved in user-to-user dealings or control the behavior of any users or other participants on the sites, in the event that you have a dispute with one or more users, by accessing and using this site, you agree to waive and release this site from any and all claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential and direct and indirect) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.
The City of South Gate does not make any express or implied warranties, representations or endorsements whatsoever (including, without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) with regard to the City's Website, the materials, any products, information or service provided through this site, or any third party sites listed on the City's Website, and the City of South Gate shall not be liable for any cost or damage arising either directly or indirectly from any such transaction. By accessing and using the City's Website, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the City of South Gate and its elected officials, officers, employees, agents and the heirs, successors or assigns of same, from and against any and all loss, costs, expenses (including reasonable attorneys fees and expenses), claims, damages and liabilities related to or associated with your use of the City's Website and any violation of these Terms of Service by you.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions constitute a contract made under and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. You agree that the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Los Angeles, if it has subject matter jurisdiction, shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear and determine any claims or disputes between you and the City of South Gate (and/or its elected officials, officers, employees, agents and the heirs, successors or assigns of same), pertaining directly or indirectly to these Terms of Service, or to any matter arising therefrom, or any other document executed and delivered in connection herewith or therewith.

The City of South Gate in its discretion reserves the right to revise these Terms of Service at any time and without prior notice.
